Simply put... "Only in Maine"

This gem came to me in a chain e-mail (courtesy of my mom). This picture is elegantly entitled, “A Old Orchard Beach Cup Holder.”

Wow… “Only in Maine” is one of few things that comes to my mind.

Enjoy folks… and think summer.

July 22, 2008: IN WATERVILLE, Tuesday at 4:30 p.m., Waterville police also are looking into a 4:30 p.m. incident yesterday in which two hooded individuals entered the Key Bank on Kennedy Memorial Drive, where bank officials reported a tense situation. The men did not brandish weapons and left without robbing the bank, police said.

June 19, 2008: IN OAKLAND, Thursday at 5:44 p.m., a caller from Fairfield Street reported youths were playing in the street and challenging each other to cross while traffic was coming.

May 16, 2008: IN WINSLOW, Friday at 2:33 p.m., a youth from Maple Ridge Road reported that she works and gave her mother $100 to buy her a regular cell phone and her mother bought a Trac phone instead and put minutes on it and kept $50 that was left over.

April 25, 2008: IN WATERVILLE, Friday at 2:21 p.m., a caller from Simpson Avenue reported finding two dead crows and wondered if the animal control officer would be interested. He was, and went to investigate.

April 22, 2008: IN WATERVILLE, Tuesday at 10:52 p.m., police investigated report of a burglary in progress on Waterville Road, where someone opened a man’s window and started to climb in.

The victim, who lives on the second floor, woke up and asked the subject crawling through the window and said ‘Can I help you?’ The victim said the kid responded: “ ‘ I’m the paperboy’ and ran off.”

April 15, 2008: IN OAKLAND, Tuesday at 11:39 p.m., a caller from Libby Hill Road reported a skunk chased him around the yard and he then drowned the animal.

April 7, 2008: IN WATERVILLE, Monday at 8:27 p.m., a theft was reported at Countryside Trailer Park.And then, 10 minutes later...8:37 p.m., someone at Countryside Trailer Park reported a missing person.

May 15, 2007: IN WATERVILLE, Tuesday at 5:19 p.m., A drunken woman was reported on Kennedy Memorial Drive. She told police she had been drinking beer, but switched to mouthwash because it was not as expensive.
